April Fools' Day Origin
There are several explanations for the origin of April Fools' Day, but here is the most plausible one. April 1st was once New Year's Day in France. In 1582, Pope Gregory declared the adoption of his Gregorian calendar to replace the Julian calendar and New Year's Day was officially changed to January 1st. It took awhile for everyone in France to hear the news of this major change and others obstinately refused to accept the new calendar, so a lot of people continued to celebrate New Year's Day on the first of April – earning them the name April fools. The April fools were subjected to ridicule and practical jokes and the tradition was born. The butts of these pranks were first called poisson d'avril or April fish because a young naive fish is easily caught. A common practice was to hook a paper fish on the back of someone as a joke. This evolved over time and a custom of prank-playing continues on the first day of April.

15 more days to my bdae..i had a whole month thinking wad to do for my bdae..n now theres only half of it left..n im still at a lost..chalet at aloha loyang..den we could all go escape!!! oooo..i wonder if theres still any chalet left for booking....hmmmmm..ok..that plan is out..theres totally no space left at aloha..how nice..='(..downtown east has chalet available..budden ex leh..hmm..no promotion also..mayb juz chalet for we youngsters..sat night party for everyone..i'll havta ask my mama..hahaha..chim..every bdae i planning for my own parties..so pathetic..haiz~ mr.b's working..its so boring at home..haiz~ but nvm..i think i'll b seeing him soon..tue? wed? thurs? duno..hav better den dun hav..so muz learn to b satisfied..hahaha..arghhhhhhh..haiz~ sharks..if i hav party on sat night..mr.b's not gonna make it..haiz~ mr.b's going clubbing wif his frens..*pling pliang..* o....my heart..my poor heart..(this was wad the queen witch person said when she went to give the poison apple to snow white..) wad can i do? i cant go..i dun even noe who that person is..so..ok..fine..u win i lose..*sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* u wont always get wad u want..clubbing on my bdae?? nonono..my frens are SEVENTEEN..we'll do something we can ALL do 2gether..lets so cycling, rollerblading n so on in east coast..but its a friggin sundae..*sighhhh*..movie too ex..KBOX..ms.s n ms.c would love it..hahaha..my com is sooooooo dumb..play music also can jam..music only lor plz..zhen shi de..sian wo bu gou fan wor..haiz~ got nothing to do..my blister's healing fine..a hard piece of skin is covering the wound..hahaha..wadeva..
