my music
jazz is SO COOL. 2dae is my first lesson at yamaha. my teacher, Mr Danny Koh, oh man, he plays great music. jazz i realised, is all about impromtu. which is being able to juz play the tune on the spot. the xam is all about being able to come up wif a tune that fits the introduction they give. hmm. like the examiner will play an introduction, a few bars of a music, n i must b able to either play or sing the rest of it without guidance, etc. its all about generating new music on the spot. oh man. i love it. cuz theres not much right or wrong to that. as long as its jazzy, n it fits! i LOVE.
ok. y is my teacher so cool. cuz he has a manuscript bk wif every page wif his name on it. printed on. thats not cool enuff? he can help his students get GIGS N JOBS AS PIANISTS. OMG. he said a few of his students r working at the HOTEL. OMG. juz wad i want. to play at the hotel lounge!!! AHHHH!!! I WANT THAT JOB!!! ok. he said in jazz theres 5 grades. he let me skip the first one. so im at grade 2 in 1 day. =D. not really that satisfied though, expect to b like at grade 3. ya. n i learnt an exam piece in 1 day too. hohoho! n the teacher seemed quite satisfied. DO YOU THINK I HAV A CHANCE?!?!? OMG. think of all the hotels man. intercontinental? swissotel? hilton? four seasons? shangri la? wadeva it is, woo. i totally love it man. i dun mind gigs too. he said his students didnt take up his offer to do gigs, cuz they were afraid to perform. ME? im not at all man! i performed b4, played the piano in front of my whole sch, n got popular after that. LOL. juz a little, cuz they were amazed i put so much strength into playing the piano. cut my hair after that so they stopped asking n looking me like im weird. hey i played the piano for more than 10 years. i can brag a little about it rite. LOL.
make me think of getting my diploma. but jazz n classical, so different. jazz is so much more relaxed, n open, n not rigid. classical is more of skill n grace. awww. cant wait for my nx lesson. but oh man. for homework, i havta practice all the grade 1 SCALES. i hate scales. its so different from classical. LOLS. wadeva. but i still love it. its so nice!! *melts*
hmm. bsides jazz, i dun think theres anithing that is animore interesting that has happened these few daes. i watched a lot of movies? a lot that r not even available in singapore? does that count? er. ok. so. hmm.
